Campus and vibes

Alumni

Overall I had a positive Butler experience. I felt like my academics were engaging and that my professors were supportive and cared about my success. I find the social scene to be lacking, as there is a lot of exclusion and toxicity in the majority of students. Food quality and quantity is lacking.

Senior

I like the area that the university is in. It has a small town feel that many other universities don't have while having access to the city.

Senior

Overall, I’ve had a good experience at Butler. However, there has been recent cuts to the diversity programs and other beneficial programs that help the students. Which is worsening the university experience for many students.

Senior

Socially, it’s definitely not a big party school. If you’re looking for wild nightlife or a huge Greek scene, Butler might feel a little quiet. But for me, that’s actually been a good thing. It’s allowed me to focus on my goals, build real friendships, and make the most of what the university has to offer—both in and out of the classroom.

Sophomore

Butler University has a friendly atmosphere to it. The close proximity to downtown Indianapolis presents many opportunities for jobs and fun.

Student

The housing and academics are fantastic! The food is probably the worst part, it's not good and options are very limited.

Student

This is a great school, there are numerous opportunities to get involved in any way that interests you personally, and everyone on campus is incredibly kind, helpful, and approachable. The academics are fantastic as well, and give you a wonderful education at such a small university.
