I appreciate how accessible the courses are, which makes it possible to balance school with working full-time. The professors are approachable and willing to help, which makes the learning environment very supportive. I also value the resources the college provides, such as TRIO SSS, tutoring, and advising, which are all easy to access online. Overall, Columbia Basin College creates a great and supportive online environment that has helped me feel confident in continuing my education.

My overall experience at Columbia Basin College has been positive and rewarding. Most of the professors are supportive and genuinely care about helping students succeed. I’ve enjoyed the variety of classes and how they challenge me to grow both academically and personally. Offering online and hybrid classes has been super helpful. Overall, CBC has given me the tools and confidence to work toward my future goals.

About Columbia Basin College

Campus Security at CBC is located in the V Building on the Pasco Campus, with officers patrolling the campus 24/7. Security measures include enforcing parking and traffic regulations and providing customer service-oriented tasks. Cameras are placed throughout the campus to maintain a secure learning environment.

CBC was awarded a NSF HSI Research Grant to support faculty development of research experiences that move students from subject observer to participant. Faculty are developing meaningful research projects, fostering intellectual growth and mentorship. Over 400 students are benefiting from hands-on research that connects learning to real-world applications, builds community partnerships, and provides platforms to showcase students’ work at a campus-wide research symposium. Overall, the grant strengthens the college’s ability to provide research-driven educational opportunities.

CBC serves a small number of international students, with the majority coming from Ukraine, Vietnam, and Rwanda.
