Professors

Student

Make sure you speak frequently with Michelle Pfeifer or whoever your counselor or advisor is so that you make sure to get as much financial support possible and so you get the classes you want to take. If you want to get into teaching or a ministry career, this is definately the place for you; but there are many other majors offered so please check them out.

Current Student

Always keep up on and go to your classes. The Professors care that you are there and want you to do your best!

Current Student

I would make sure they have your major or the classes you need for it. I would also get your class schedules figured out early and get registered early. It can be a little difficult to get the classes you want especially at the times you want. I would also suggest getting involved in some kind of activity.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

I loved the environment, i quickly felt at home here, especially with smaller class sizes and professors who actually care. The dorms are standard, but the food is better than you get at a lot of other places.

Current Student

I have only been at Concordia for a little less than two semesters, but I love it here. The student body is a really welcoming community that makes it really easy to find "your people". There are so many ways outside of athletics to get involved, such as major-specific and special interest clubs, as well as other campus-wide activities.

Current Student

I have loved my experience at Concordia. It is a friendly Christ-focused environment where professors care not only about the student's learning but also about the student as a whole. Concordia is a home where people meet lifetime friends. I am very involved in the music programs at Concordia and have grown so much in my ability and as a person through their choir and other music opportunities. The food is cafeteria food but has continues to improve throughout my time there. I feel seen by all of my professors and could not feel safer and more like home.

Alumni

I've definitely had a mixed experience at Concordia. If you're a devoted LCMS Lutheran looking to connect with peers of the same faith, you'll probably love this school. It's very homogenous in that most people are Christian and there's a general understanding that people are on the same page religiously. I did spend a summer living on campus and it was very affordable, but it doesn't take long to run out of things to do in Seward. However, I do appreciate the safety of the town- as a female I walked to work, internship, and all around town and never felt uneasy. Overall, it's a good place for Lutherans, but maybe not for hard academics or city people.

Current Student

Concordia has a very unique campus life. It is good to get involved with even just a few of their many activities. There are many things there that will help you feel at home.

Current Student

Be sure to check it out! Get to know the people on campus and the professors, they'll make you feel welcome right away. Also, take a look around Seward, which is a great small town, and check out Lincoln, which is only thirty minutes away!

Cost and value

Alumni

To be honest, I pay less to go to Concordia than I did at a state school because of the financial support through Concordia and the LCMS as a whole. The dorm rooms here are much better than the living conditions I had before. The food is better than that of CU but it still doesn't beat home cooking. As I have already said, the classes are entirely worth it.
