Professors

Freshman

I attend Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI. I have enjoyed my time at the university so far. To begin, the faculty in admissions and registration are open, honest, and kind. I have appreciated all they did to help in my entrance to college. Next, I have been overwhelmed by the respect that the professors have towards my learning. Their core curriculum classes have much more weight than most colleges possess, and many degrees struggle to fit in all of the credits for 4 years with the curriculum classes. Overall, I still believe that Cornerstone is a good fit for many, and I recommend!

Freshman

As a full-time online student at Cornerstone University, I appreciate the flexibility that allows me to balance my education with other responsibilities. The faith-based approach is also a strong point, as it integrates Christian values into the coursework in a meaningful way. The professors are supportive and responsive, which makes navigating online learning easier. Overall, my experience at Cornerstone has been great, but I believe improvements in student connection and course accessibility would make the online program even stronger.

Campus and vibes

Other

Right from the start, the admissions process seemed hurried, marked by red flags & dubious advice from advisors. Despite raising valid concerns & seeking clarity on various documents, my inquiries were met with evasiveness, & misguidance. Nobody could ever give me a straight answer & every person I spoke with told me something different!

Sophomore

I like the small campus and student life. I love all of my professors and I enjoy the academic courses.

Get involved and stay involved. It's as simple as that. You don't have to play sports and be in theater to be involved. Attend the sporting events, volunteer on campus, have an on-campus job, or even just leave your dorm room door open, so others know that you welcome company. This will help you meet more people and make classes more fun because you know others who are in class with you.

Student

Come in with no expectations. Be ready to be changed. Be ready to take risks and meet new people. God will work in you in a way that I cannot explain. I have grown in my relationship with God through the people, professors, the weather, late-night talks with my roommate.

Student

Come expecting God to move in your life. If you let Him move, you will be transformed. God is doing amazing things in people's lives.

Student

make sure you fill out your dorm paperwork/profile correctly so you get matched up with people you will get along with.

Student

Get out and meet people! During my first semester, I purposely chose to sit with different people each time I ate in the cafeteria, and it was probably one of the best decisions that I made. The people you meet and the conversations you join are so worth it. The funny thing for me was that several people thought I was a sophomore or junior simply because they saw me sitting with other sophomores/juniors during lunch and dinner.

Make sure to visit the Golden Eagle Days as well as your own private visits. Also, APPLY TO SCHOLARSHIPS. This school could be on the more expensive side and looking for scholarships early on will definitely be helpful.
