College Sophomore

The admission to the English Major is easy. You just declare and get a sign formed. I am a double major in Media Arts and Design, though, and that was more difficult. I had to apply to the major, take an intro class and a computer literacy test, and write an essay. They do this because so many people want to be SMAD (School of Media Arts and Design) majors, but with all of the software and equipment necessary, they have to limit the number of students.

Very Involved – Most majors have a pretty strict admissions process, but it's mostly to weed out the slackers. Most majors start accepting applications at the end of your freshman year or during your sophomore year, so you have a chance to get your GPA up. I changed my major twice freshman year and it was an extremely easy process.
