Professors

Student

They have an odd way of doing certain majors, instead labeling them as "areas," and being very strict about when you are a major vs an area. They do not have enough teachers/classes to match the students; they mentioned that their classes are small and personal. and only 15 to 1, when in reality all of my classes have been 20/30 to 1, or there are so many students trying to get the same gen-eds, you luck out and can't get in yourself.

Campus and vibes

Student

Morehead State is the definition of a small rural school. There are small stores within walking distance, but be prepared to come with a car or spend a fortune on Uber/delivery if you actually need something. The party scene is big throughout the week, but this is a commuter school, and everybody goes home on the weekends, leaving downtown seeming deserted. The diversity is lacking; most people who come here are from the area or nearby, so out-of-towners stand out.

Student

I admire Morehead State University because of its small class size, which is personally important to me. It is such a tight-knit community, and I've gotten to know so many strangers who would soon turn out to be my friends. Another thing that I admire about Morehead State University is the student organizations offered.
