Student reviews

Professors

Current Student

As a concurrent enrollment student, Rogers State University has given me the opportunity to participate in college level courses while still finishing up high school. It has been a very welcoming environment at the Bartlesville campus with helpful professors. There is nothing that I would change. I highly recommend Rogers State University.

Campus and vibes

Other

For an "online" class, covered by the State of Oklahoma's concurrent enrollment, the extra fees and charges were out of line. Had to pay parking, admitted student fee. Almost $300 for a $200 course. The instructor was hit or miss for attendance to virtual sessions and would not engage in student questions. Admission personnel also decided not to accept the scholarship that was to be applied from an outside organization because HE decided it was only for full time enrollment, against the recommendation of the organization providing funds. I would not waste time enrolling at Rogers

Student

So far my experience has been great. The staff - admissions, academic advisors, bookstore, instructors, etc. - have all been very kind and helpful. I would recommend the college to anyone considering it.

Sophomore

My overall experience at RSU has been positive. I like the smaller class sizes, which allow for more time with the professors when needed. There is an active Student Government Association, and Student Affairs is very active in involving things for students to do for a break from study. The only thing I would include/change is offering an ASL sign language class as an elective choice.

Freshman

As a freshman at Rogers State University, my experience so far has been really positive. The campus is beautiful, with plenty of open spaces and scenic views of the surrounding hills. The small class sizes are a big plus, making it easier to connect with professors and get one-on-one help when needed. The professors are approachable and genuinely care about student success. I’ve found it easy to make friends, thanks to the friendly community and various student clubs. The dorms are decent, and while the dining options could use more variety, the food is pretty good. Overall, RSU feels like a close-knit community, perfect for a freshman adjusting to college life.

Student

I love the environment, the people, and the professors, also like how Rogers State University have a lot of resources that students can use specially when it comes to finals. Rogers State University is a small campus so you can make new friends really fast, also get to know your professors really good, and also you can get involved more in campus.

Junior

The soccer team is fun to watch especially with Hunter, our mascot. It benefited my husband and I that they have family housing. They recently added a master's degree in Community Counseling. Everyone is friendly. The teachers are eager to help and much of the staff are helpful too. There is 2 small lakes and conservation wooded area on campus.

Student

My experience has been a relaxed one. The clubs put on many events for the dorms and students, which is great for those that have some free time between classes. The college has a big soccer field with lots of games throughout the spring semester, so there is plenty of opportunities to cheer on your school's team.

Student

The college is a good size, not too small but also not large either. More affordable than other colleges in the state, but is still a very good school. Has one of the best nursing programs in the state. Also has lots of fun student activities and student involvement on campus. Resources are offered to all students and dorms are nicer than other colleges in the state.
