Professors

Student

Seminole state is a good school. For a cheaper option than a bigger university, Seminole offers smaller class sizes and a variety of online classes making it easier to work 40+ hours a week and continue my education. One downside is the office is always very difficult to get ahold of when questions arise. Most teachers are very pleasant and care about their students, helping them understand and learn to apply the skills taught in their classrooms. Overall Seminole State is a great option for continuing your education.

Campus and vibes

Other

My experience at Seminole State College has been overall positive. The professors are knowledgeable and genuinely care about student success, especially in the general education and psychology departments. The campus is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Advising can be hit or miss, but when you find a good advisor, they’re super helpful. One area that could improve is communication between departments, especially when it comes to financial aid and registration. Still, for the cost and quality of education, it’s a great place to start before transferring to a university like UCF.

College junior

I have been fortunate to do Dual Enrollment in my senior year of high school and I absolutely loved it. The classes were great and the campuses are beautiful. I applied to go there over the summer and was accepted and was able to talk to so many helpful people about what to do and the right classes for me.

Student

My overall experience at Seminole State College of Florida has been positive. I enjoy the supportive environment and the opportunities it gives students to start college early. The professors have been helpful and approachable, which makes learning easier. One thing I would like to see improve is more activities and programs for younger college students like myself, since it would help build more connections outside the classroom.

Student

My overall experience has been wonderful. There's so much to do within the campus and everyone is so welcoming. I find myself participating in events and different sports they have going on at all times. There's always something to do, with enough diversity for anyone to enjoy something. The classes are full of great professors who want to see their students succeed. The school has many opportunities for students to join clubs and just get involved to better network and make friends.
