Professors

Student

The online course were great! Professors were knowledgeable and helpful. The in person classes were great. I felt that I learned a lot from all my classes. I also worked at the on site child development center to work towards my degree in early childhood education.

Student

I have been attending Rio Hondo since 2009 while I was in High School. Not once have I thought of taking classes or courses at a different college. The professors are fantastic and reliable. In my experience, my professors had a career background in their teaching field which helped give us a real and genuine learning experience. Rio Hondo is also very resourceful and they make changes and improvements for the students benefits.

Campus and vibes

Graduate Student

Rio Hondo college is an amazing community college. The school offers many courses for you to choose from. There are also so many benefits and resources you can take advantage of from this school.

Sophomore

Amazing professors who actually care about your education! However, I do feel student-life is a bit dead due to there not being many clubs. It’s a small school, so it won’t be a challenge to navigate through. The students are almost always willing to help and it is just such a tight knit community.

Graduate Student

I worked part time and went to school part time when I went here. I was always able to work every class around my work schedule and having a easy to read advisement sheet was a god send. Only change I’d like to see are the counselors. I always struggled with them communicating with each other.

Freshman

The coaches were very encouraging. There is a lot of outdoor activities to do in the surrounding area.

Student

Though I only attended a quick two years, it was two years I will always cherish. I started my first year at Rio Hondo college during Fall of 2020. Starting off college during the peak of a pandemic was not something I necessarily looked forward to, but this school made my experience great regardless.
