Student reviews

Professors

Junior

I came here for the Genomics institute and the academics, not the social aspect. I have had wonderful experiences here with professors and research opportunities. The Housing crisis is the worst part about this university. There are too many students and not enough housing on or off campus and the rent prices are astronomically high.

Junior

Mixed feelings about academics, some classes feel very formed and helpful, others not so much. Beautiful campus and beach city!

Campus and vibes

Freshman

I liked that UC Santa Cruz had a lot to offer and there was something for everyone to do. There were many opportunities on campus and in the santa cruz area to relax and learn something new. I would like to see UCSC build more housing for the students.

Freshman

Really an underrated school that offers a great balance between student life and academics, though finding housing can be quite challenging.
