ISU was a great experience for a "big school / small town" vibe. It allowed students to always meet someone new but also see familiar faces on a daily basis on campus. The wide range of class sizes kept academic life diverse with larger pre-req courses to smaller, more intimate major specific courses. Professors would always go out of their way to offer resources to help their students grow and understand the material.

Illinois State is the Harvard of the Midwest. Professors teach a majority of the classes vs. TA’s. Campus is extremely walkable with an emphasis on being well manicured and maintained. Great value for the quality of education that you receive.
